How to play Betfred Goals Galore
The coupon is a little different to a standard football coupon in that you won’t see any odds next to the individual matches. Instead, you’ll simply see a long list of football matches and the odds of picking a given number of winning selections. You have to pick a minimum of 3 matches, but can pick anything up to 15. The odds for 3 winners are 3/1, all the way up to 1350/1 for 15 winners!
Goals Galore Bonus coupon
Once you’re familiar with the basic idea, you might like to have a look at the Bonus coupon. This is also a Betfred exclusive, and you’ll find it right alongside the standard Goals Galore coupon. You can see the difference in the screen shot above – the bonus coupon is red whereas the original is blue. The main difference however is that the bonus coupon features matches that Betfred reckon will be slightly harder to pick the winners from, and consequently you’ll see better odds for your selections. For 3 winners, the bonus coupon pays a generous 9/2, if you can hit 15 you’ll get an incredible 5000/1!
Of course, you can choose any number of selections between 3 and 15, and the odds climb as you pick more and more teams. Most people who enjoy these sort of accumulator bets will go for around 6-8 teams. If you’re betting just a tenner, an 8 team winning Goals Galore coupon will pay a tasty £450, if you’re on the bonus coupon, it would be worth a cool £1,000!
More about Betfred Goals Galore
We get a lot of feedback from punters who really enjoy the idea of a both teams to score bet. There’s no pressure to try to pick the result so they are ideal for neutrals to spice up a live game when their team isn’t playing. They are by their very nature accumulator bets, so big odds are built up very quickly, and there’s nothing better than seeing the goals fly in on a Saturday afternoon when you’ve ticked the right boxes!
The final benefit of the Goals Galore coupon is that this is a bet that really isn’t over until the final whistle. As long as one of your teams has netted already, you’ll be in the bet until the very last kick. In fact, before now we’ve seen games reach the 90th minute at a 0-0 stalemate, yet 5 minutes of injury time later, it’s 1-1!
Whether you enjoy watching the scores come in, will be at the ground or camped in front of the TV for a live game, this is a fun bet. You’ll note that often the coupon features the live games over the course of the weekend, so you can always have that one final selection set up to watch live. Hopefully you’ll be cheering both teams to score to finish off your winning bet.
Betfred Goals Galore tips
We’re often asked for tips on picking a winner in the “Both teams to score” market. We can’t pick them for you, but we do have a couple of suggestions that you should take into account.
Firstly, take you time making your selections. The web is full of stats sites, official team sites, fan pages etc. A quick look at the BBC football will show you tables, goals scored, results, goalscorers etc. Everything you need to make an educated guess at the likely outcome.
Pay particular attention to how a team has been playing either home or away. If they are away to a tough side and haven’t notched too many goals on the road it might be one to leave out.
Check the team news before finalising the bet. You might have noted that the main man at one of your selected teams is banging in the goals for fun, and you’re hoping he’ll do the same again today. Check he hasn’t done his hamstring in the warm up, if he’s sidelined you might leave that selection.
Don’t pick games you don’t fancy to make the numbers up. You might well have decided you fancy the 8 team accumulator to try for those tasty 100/1 odds on the bonus coupon. But you’ve gone right through the coupon twice and you’ve only got 7 selections. Don’t just throw in a random one! You’ve done your homework, why risk it for one more game? If you really want to get the extra game in remember you can always enter twice (or more), perhaps at a smaller stake though. Essentially, don’t be too greedy.
Both Teams To Score – any rules to be aware of?
Unlike the first goalscorer bet, this is a bet where the identity of the goalscorer doesn’t matter. Just like a goal scrambled in off the strikers shin is worth the same as a 30 yard rocket into the top corner, a goal is a goal. If a defender scores a comedy own goal, all the better! In an ideal world he’ll go up the other end and atone for his error with one at the right end of the pitch. Job done.
